Fire of God

FIRE OF GOD - JAY NEAL

I painted this during worship just after attending the Lakeland, Fl revival at Ignited Church.  I had planned on painting something else, and in fact had another painting started.  The night before, the Lord impressed upon me to paint fire.  I wasn't sure what to do.  The morning of the service, we met early for prayer and my pastor said that he saw "fireworks".  That was confirmation to me that I was on the right track.  I have a heart for worship dance and the Fire of the Lord.  So, this painting was birthed.  I pray that if a seed of worship dance is planted inside of you, that you will step out and give the Lord your worship.  His fire is all consuming.

RIBBONS OF GLORY - JAY NEAL

This painting came out of an intensive intimate time in the Holy of Holies.  As a church body, our pastor was teaching us how to enter in to the Holy of Holies.  It was amazing.  I actually felt that I could see ribbons of glory in shades of pink and blues infiltrating the sanctuary.  It was an awesome experience and I just couldn’t wait to paint it.  The original is acrylic on canvas.  Prints are on Kodak paper with a Lustre finish and Linen  texture, ready to be matted and framed.

WORSHIP DANCE - JAY NEAL

I wanted to convey the eyes of God looking down upon a girl dancing her heart out for God. I pictured her waving red flags while swirling around.  I tried to use the face of God into the dancer so that it would layer into one look. As it transpired, my on-looking husband was thinking, "What in the World is she painting"?  This is a very intriguing because at a distance you don't see the dancer as much as you see a face.  Some even say it looks evil, and as you get closer it takes on the worship look.  Some have said that it is just like getting far from God and being influenced by evil as opposed to being close and worshipping.  Some have seen the scripture, "I saw satan fall like lightening from the sky, and I give you all the power to trample on snakes and scorpions", etc.  They see the flag as having a serpent head.  Some have seen Jezebel in this painting.  Some have seen a girl looking back on her past.  Some have seen it as total authority and the wind of God. When you turn this completely upside down, it looks just like a middle eastern man with a turbine and a beard.  It's very colorful and fun to study.  I personally love the effect that it has on people.  One person even saw it and realized that she was battling a demon.  To God Be the Glory!
