Part 2
“I will give you treasures of darkness and hidden riches of the Secret Place, that you may know that I, the Lord, Who calls you by your name, am the God of Israel.” Isaiah 45:3
In the Secret Place, He wants to bless us.
Blessed: The Greek word for “blessed” is Corem Dio, and it means “to live your life before the face of God”. The Hebrew words for “face” and “presence” are the same: Paniym. We were created to live in His presence, literally “in His face”, with nothing between our face and His. Oh, if we could just get hold of living a blessed life, in His face!
In the Secret Place, He wants us to call His Name.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
A couple of years ago during our Praise and Worship service at our church, I had a vision. I saw God on His Throne, with Jesus sitting at His side. I saw their smiles, receiving praises, our praises, into the Throne Room. They were “kicked back”, enjoying our praises to them. I heard my Savior say, “Look, Dad, it’s our kids—my brothers and sisters, Your sons and daughters. Just listen to their praises.” And the Father said, “You know, Son, I would do ANYTHING for my children.” Oh, how I pray to grasp that! Our Father would do ANYTHING for us, and He will tell us great and unsearchable things. He loves us so much. All we have to do is call His Name.
In the Secret Place, He wants us to know Him by His Name.
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10
So, what is in a name?
Name: a word or phrase that constitutes the distinctive designation of a person or thing; reputation; an illustrious record; One referred to by a name (ie Praise His Holy Name). His Name, His distinctive designation, proves His reputation and His illustrious record—but we have to call on Him.
Tower: One that provides support or protection; a fortress, which means strong, fortified place; a large and permanent fortification which means something that defends or strengthens, secures, gives physical strength, courage or endurance; to add mental or moral strength; to encourage; to add material for strengthening or enriching.
We just need to take hold: call on the Name of the Lord, (call on His reputation, call on His illustrious record) and He gives us safety and security that covers it all: defends and strengthens, secures, gives us physical strength, courage or endurance, adds mental and moral strength, encourages and adds unto us strengthening and enrichment. Oh Father, that we would grasp it!
Are you tired, weary, insecure, in need of strength, courage, enriching? “…call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.” Isaiah 60:18b – GET INTO THE FORTIFIED CITY OF THE NAME OF OUR LORD, THE STRONG TOWER, GET INSIDE THE WALLS OF SALVATION AND THE GATES OF PRAISE, AND REST IN THE SECRET PLACE…and “the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.” Isaiah 60:19b Amen. |
