Part 4

“I will give you treasures of darkness and hidden riches of the Secret Place, that you may know that I, the Lord, Who calls you by your name, am the God of Israel.”  Isaiah 45:3

“You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but You have not let me know whom You will send with me.  You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with Me.’  If you are pleased with me, teach me Your ways so that I may know You and continue to find favor with You….The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’…And the Lord said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’  Then Moses said, ‘Now show me Your glory.’”  Exodus 33:12-18

Remember:  He knows us by name…and He would do anything for us.  All we have to do is ask and seek Him with our whole heart.  Then, He will show us His glory!

Now that we have established that He knows us by name and He wants to dwell with us in the Secret Place, we need to know where we are going before we can experience the treasures and hidden riches of His glory.

Simply put:  we are about to enter into the Holy of Holies.

When God directed the construction of the Old Testament tabernacle, He was very specific with the details.  There are pages and pages and pages in His Word devoted to the construction, alone.  When it was complete, and if they had been able to view this tabernacle from the sky, just as God could see it, they would see that it was laid out and built in the form of the Cross.  If you were to study the Old Testament tabernacle, (and please do – it’s great!)  you would find that every furnishing and every element was in direct correlation to Jesus Christ.  Amazing….

Now, let’s look at the New Testament tabernacle, our bodies.   I recently received an e-mail that described our bodies being held together by “laminin”.  According to Mirriam-Webster Dictionary:
Laminin—medical term for a family of proteins of connective tissue basement membrane that promotes cell adhesion.
It is the glue that holds us all together.  Without them, we would literally fall apart.  Guess what this “glue” looks like inside our bodies?  The glue that holds our bodies together is laid out inside our bodies in the form of the Cross.  (You can go to wikipedia to look it up if you like.)  Imagine, we are held together – one cell to another….by the Cross.  The New Testament tabernacle, the temple of the Holy Spirit, is laid out and built in the form of the Cross.  “For by Him all things were created…all things were created by Him and for Him…and in Him all things hold together.”  Colossians 1:16-17.

“Oh Lord, King of Glory, Father and Caretaker of the Secret Place, teach me Your ways!  I want to hear Your heartbeat!  Show me Your glory!”  Amen.
